Decorating Your Body With Beautiful Flower Tattoos
Flower tattoos are one of the more popular kinds of tattoos being done on men and women alike today. For some reason, having a lotus flower tattoo on an ankle or wrist is a great way to enhance your look permanently. Plus, it goes well with almost every kind of outfit you wear.
Flowers tattoos have been around for many years. Centuries ago, fish bones or any sharp object were used to make tattoos on the body. It was a painstaking process that was extremely painful. Thus, only the brave and high pain tolerance were able to see the process through. It became a symbol of extreme bravery and those with tattoos were looked up to by many.
History shows us that tattoos seems to have begun in Hawaii. It only became more popular after Captain James Cook found this traditional art form and brought it to the rest of the world. In fact, when the Hawaiian island began known as a paradise haven, it became a very popular place to go, and getting a tattoo was part of the island experience.
Tattoos have always been a way not just to make you look more beautiful and brave, it is also a means of communicating feelings you are too shy to say. For instance, intense love for someone is expressed by a flower with a name tattooed on an intimate part of one's body. This way, that special someone will always see it as solid proof of undying love and devotion.
Of course, the problem with tattoos is permanency, or an extremely difficult process of removing the tattoo in case this love affair suffers a total collapse.
The most popular areas in the body for a flower tattoo are the ankles, wrists, arms, lower back, and chest. Aside from being known as a beauty mark, similar to a mole, but prettier, a flower tattoo can take the place of jewelry. There is standard size for a tattoo. You can have one as big as a clenched fist, or a tiny flower that can barely be seen. The art of tattoo is personal creativity and individual style. There is no wrong nor is there a right kind of tattoo. ( By Greg J Thompson )
