These days everybody has a tattoo; even if it is just a little butterfly, everyone has one. This article is designed to help break you out of the mold of fitting in with the rest of the crowd. In this article I will give you some advice when it comes to designing your own tattoo. Sure you can get the heart that says mom on it or the flaming skull, but why fit in, when you can stand out and make a statement. This is the real reason to get a tattoo in the first place!
The first thing you need to remember about the design of your own tattoo is that there are as many different designs to experiment with as there are people in this world. There is a saying "If you can dream it you can build it" I like that saying just with a little tweak instead of build it lets say draw it. That is true with most tattoo artists, If you can dream it they can draw it.
So sit and think about what you want from your tattoo design, do you want skulls and a heart, maybe something to remember a friend by, whatever you decide make it unique to you and only you. You want something that you can tell a story with. Those are the tattoos that are the most interesting. After you decide on a design for your tattoo you need to find a place that you feel comfortable doing the work for you. The place in question needs to be clean and sterile. Talk to the person who will be doing your tattoo and see what kind of experience he has and how long has he been doing this.
Now you need to take your self designed tattoo and discuss with the artist as to what you expect the finished product to look like and where you want it at. The artist will be able to tell you if what you want will be able to be done or not. The number one thing to remember about designing your own tattoo is that there are plenty of designs to start from. It is up to you to build upon a basic design and make your tattoo something that people will be talking about for a long time. And above all else make sure that you have fun with the design, try different things to see what gets the best results that you are looking for in your design. After all this is all about you and yourself expression, stand out from the rest and make a statement with your own designed tattoo.
