So you have been planning to get a tattoo and you want a Chinese design. Perhaps a nice saying would make for a nice tattoo. But before you actually get it permanently inked on your skin, ever thought about the thing that most people who get tattoos in foreign text dread? If you haven't, just imagine this scenario. You got your tattoo and you think it looks great. People seem to be thinking the same way as you have gotten quite a number of compliments regarding it.
Now, you meet someone who actually knows how to read, write and speak Chinese. He informs you that your great tattoo doesn't exactly match the saying you were going for. Instead of saying "Courage is not the absence of fear" it actually says "I have more fear than courage". Imagine something like that permanently tattooed on you wouldn't that be quite embarrassing? So to prevent something like that from happening, why not opt for a Chinese tattoo temporary design? At least until you confirm the design you want.
Most people who get tattoos in Chinese script usually just get them off the internet. Bad idea, though the internet does offer accurate results it doesn't necessarily swing that way when it comes to tattoo designs. How many times have you heard stories of people getting the wrong words tattooed on them?
Even famous people aren't immune. Michelle Branch actually has had a similar experience. So the best thing to do is to get a Chinese tattoo temporary design, show it to someone who knows the language and have them confirm it for you. That way, there's no way of you getting the wrong saying permanently inked on your skin.
